Sussex Polo features regularly in Polo Times and has appeared in a wide variety of equine and lifestyle magazines including: Hurlingham Magazine, The Polo Magazine, HoofBeat, Pegasus, Local Rider, Crawley Observer and Sussex Life. Polo Times has described Sussex Polo as “a little piece of Argentina” and “the club that everyone is talking about” due to its eye-catching marketing campaigns such as its down to earth motto ‘More new blood, less blue blood’ and ‘Ride it like you stole it’ which features on a bold new range of clothing alongside a striking image of the Grim Reaper on a polo pony!

The Daily Mail reported in the July 21 2010 Edition:

While smart folk descend on Cowdray Park for the polo—it was the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup last week – the nearby Sussex Polo Club is more down to earth.  Their slogan is ‘Ride it like you stole it!’

TV crews have filmed members playing tournaments for a US TV documentary about the British lifestyle and with its extensive grounds providing an ideal backdrop for TV and film locations with minimal air traffic noise despite being conveniently located to Gatwick.

On July 21, Chris Evans also picked up on this and gave us a mention on his morning show on Radio 2!

Sallie Anne Lent and Chon Donnelly regularly contribute articles about polo and lifestyle to magazines and a regular series by Sallie Anne was featured in Sussex Life and Hoofbeat.

The polo club is renowned for its innovative approach to marketing and events and initiated the fund-raising event ‘Pukka in Pink’ to raise money for the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, the format of which has been copied for other ‘Pink’ events.

Sussex polo is a popular venue chosen by sponsors such as AIRMILES, LAND ROVER, LLOYDS TSB Private Banking, PUFFA, CHAMPAGNE JAQUART, PORSCHE Centre Mid-Sussex to host corporate Hospitality events and learn to play polo days.
