Polo Times are sponsoring The Summer Shield AND Best Playing Pony on 11-12 August. The winners will receive prizes spinsored by Polo Times and the owner of the Best Playing Pony will receive an exclusive Polo Times summer sheet.

A picture of both player and their steed adorned with the rug will be featured in a compilation of all the winning ponies in an Autumn issue of Polo Times later in the year – something every polo player covets!

Arena Polo at Sussex Polo Club

Arena polo is the perfect way to keep your riding skills up and improve your hand-eye ball co ordination and stick work. It’s also great fun as I’m sure all those that played in our new Martin Collins arena last year will testify ! Plus your outdoor Sussex summer membership also includes winter arena membership so you only have to pay the HPA winter upgrade of £60.

Due to the success of the arena last season with the superb Martin Collins surface, the arena was upgraded with new top-spec polo boards from Curling as seen at Hickstead. At 60 x 25m it is bigger than the nearest arena for 2 on 2 play.

Full arena livery which is £520 per month including stable / groom / hard feed / use of polo arena etc. And for those on full livery, the arena may also be used mid-week for stick and ball and lessons. Plus the adjoining bridle path along the Worth way has seven miles of all-weather hacking!

Loyalty discount

Sussex Polo’s winter livery prices still remain excellent value as prices are capped for the 2011-12 season despite the huge increase in forage prices – which is why all available spaces have been taken!

Full winter livery remains at £490 – £520 including stable and grass livery @ £175 pcm which includes daily checks and adlib forage. Summer full Livery from March 2012 to £550 but if you keep your horses at Sussex all year you will receive a loyalty discount keeping your summer discount keeping your summer prices at £525 per pony.
