“I would like to thank everyone at the Sussex Polo Club for giving my best friend a ‘Hen Do to Remember’.  The tuition was fantastic and the whole day surpassed all expectations.
One of our party members had never even sat on a horse before but this wasn’t a problem because you picked out the perfect horse for her who really looked after her.  The members of our party who were not partaking in the Polo day were made comfortable and you even catered for the children.
I personally have been horse riding for many years and when we were looking for a Polo Club on this occasion the Sussex Polo Club was miles ahead of the rest with their great customer service, superbly trained horses and knowledgeable instructors.  Thank you all again and I wish you every success in future.”

I wanted to send you an email firstly to say how fantastic my polo party was today. The five of us came away grinning and wishing we could play every day. Thank you for having us.

Secondly I wanted to tell you how amazing Gonzalo is as an instructor. On the journey up to Crawley Down this morning, a friend asked me why I drive a 2 1/2 hour round trip for a polo lesson when there must be somewhere nearer to my house to play? The answer is Gonzalo. He is the most amazing polo instructor. He makes every lesson fun but educational. He explains everything in such detail that I realise I’m learning the rules of polo through having fun stick and ball lessons and practice chukkas.

My biggest concern about learning to play polo was that I would feel stupid learning to do something I’ve never done before. On arriving for my first lesson I was greeted by a very welcoming Gonzalo and immediately felt at ease. From my first lesson I was hooked! He teaches me by encouraging me to do more every week and if I make a mistake (very often) I don’t feel stupid. Gonzalo explains everything in great detail, why a shot was good or what went wrong. I’m definitely improving my horse riding skills too as balance is so important.
Thanks to my lovely and supportive (and fed up of hearing about polo) husband I have a weekly lesson with Gonzalo I feel like I’m really improving and working towards my goal of being good!! My party guests today all said what a fantastic instructor he is and they now understand why I drive so far for my lesson. I really thought I’d have an introductory lesson and that would be that. Another thing achieved before being 40! The only reason I am now playing every week and having the time of my life is Gonzalo and Sussex Polo. So thank you again for letting me ride at Sussex polo and for letting me have lessons with Gonzalo.

“Wow thanks so much. I can’t tell you what a fun day we all had – my friends havn’t stopped talking about it since! Especially as 95% of them had never been to a polo match before they didn’t quite know what to expect. Thank you for allowing me to present the prizes – you certainly made my hen party memorable. We will certainly be back. But I just wanted you to know how much I appreciated you making my day out so special and fun. Thanks again!”

“Thanks again for welcoming us on the lovely grounds of Sussex Polo Club and making Alice’s day just what it needed to be: Relaxed, fun and exciting! We will be back no doubt, if only to stare at Memo!”

“Thanks again for making Alice’s hen party possible. We had such a fantastic time and I am thrilled that we decided to come to Sussex Polo – what a great place!”
