GIVE YOUR PONIES THE BEST:

Pony welfare is a top priority at Sussex Polo and all horses in our care are treated as such. We believe the best way to keep horses is to do what is best for the horse. At Sussex Polo Club we are proud to combine the knowledge of the English and the Argentine ways, we believe that in order for horses to be happy and rested they need to be able to graze and roll in a relaxed environment moving feely within their herd. Therefore our horses are not confined to a stable and can enjoy the freedom of living  naturally within 400 acres of beautiful countryside paddocks.

The ponies are brought in to feed and exercise during the day by our established team of dedicated and professional Argentine grooms. Large stables are available on site should your horse need medical attention provided by our 24 hour on call specialist polo vets Shotter & Byers.

In the winter we provide a unique grass livery service where patrons can come and ride out their ponies along the Worth Way (a seven mile all weather track) that runs parallel to the polo club for no extra charge.

At Sussex Polo we offer four different levels of service to suit the different needs of the players. For those players that keep their ponies with us all year we offer a loyalty discount on the Summer Livery published prices. Please contact the polo office for more details.

Option 1 (Full) Summer
Option 2 (DIY) Summer
Option 3 (Winter Grazing)
Option 4 (Winter full)

Option 1 (FULL) Summer

For the player who would prefer that the professionals care for his ponies, we offer a full service which includes grazing/water/hay/tacking up, plus exercising and stabling as required, full service is £500 pcm per pony.

Option 2 (DIY) Summer

Suitable for the player who would prefer to keep their ponies on site and save on travel time and transport costs, but who can manage all of their own ponies needs. DIY is £150 pcm per pony and includes grazing and water. Please note that DIY paddocks will need to be cleaned on a regular basis by the pony owners.

Option 3 (WINTER GRAZING)

Sussex polo has excellent grazing facilities. The land is sheltered by trees and is on silver sand which provides excellent drainage. The ponies are checked at least twice a day plus the owner is on site. Winter grazing is £100 pcm per pony which includes unlimited hay/haylage and water.

Option 4 (WINTER FULL)

Winter full livery for those wishing to play Arena Polo is £110 plus transport.

At Sussex polo we try to keep our prices affordable (but yet realistic). We offer a range of service options to suit most peoples budgetary requirements and individual ponies and players needs. Should you require any additional service or sundries to be supplied by Sussex polo such as stabling/hard feed/supplements/tack/wormers/farrier/clipping/re-schooling of ponies etc please note they will be charged as extras.

Additional daily stable rate £10
