Media coverage and participant levels of Polo have been rising steadily over the recent years. Which makes Polo sponsorship the ideal choice for a new and exciting way to entertain your important clients whilst promoting your business. Where once Polo was considered exclusively as the sport of Kings it is now becoming accessible to those of us that also enjoy an exhilarating and glamorous lifestyle.
Sponsorships and Corporate days can be tailor made to suit your requirements. Options available range from a motivational Corporate day out to learn how to play polo to sponsoring a Trophy and Tournament as an advertising project. Many companies also choose to associate themselves.

Airmiles
Objective: Rewarding customer loyalty
Polo provided the perfect opportunity to provide a memorable ‘money can’t buy’ experience for our most loyal customers”
"I guess with winged horse Pegasus on our logo, Jacquart's support for equestrian sports is not so surprising. What attracts us to polo in the UK at the moment is that it is a sport that is re-inventing itself and attracting large numbers of younger players."

Lloyds TSB Private Banking
Objective: Relationship building & reward
“Lloyds TSB Private Banking’s greatest strength is the relationship we have through our managers with our clients. My role is to look for sponsorships that enhance this relationship providing our clients with a fantastic memory of a shared experience. Together with Sussex Polo we developed a sponsorship which has successfully profiled our brand and introduced some of our clients to polo, providing them with an experience they will never forget and culminating in our very own tournament. The success of this sponsorship has impressed my bosses…the coverage in Sussex Life was excellent.”

Puffa Charity Cup
Objective: Raise awareness and funds for Strangles campaign
“A charity polo day, designed to raise funds and awareness in the battle against strangles, has been
hailed a success. Part of the proceeds from the event, which was held on Sunday at the Sussex Polo Club, Rowfant, will go towards the Breaking the Strangles Hold campaign, a joint initiative between the British Horse Society and Animal Health Trust (AHT). The campaign, which is supported by Horse & Hound and clothing company Puffa, aims to raise £250,000 to create a vaccine against the highly-infectious disease. To date, £170,000 has been raised thanks to public support and various charity events. At the start of the day, tournament organiser Puffa handed over a cheque for £10,000, raised from the sale of special strangles polo shirts, to the AHT's Andrew Simmonds.”

"It's fantastic to be part of the campaign and to do all we can to try and eradicate this disease.”

Team Building
Polo is undoubtedly a team sport, where the dynamics of the team rather than the individual efforts of the single player achieve the greater result. Joining in is not dependant of previous riding experience or a knowledge of the game, as Sussex Polo Club are able to provide an environment whereby individuals are taught by qualified instructors, on safe and trustworthy ponies, and in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
Team building in the form of polo allows individuals to develop a strong sense of self-participation, drive to succeed and an appreciation for working as a team to achieve a result, and is always regarded as an exhilarating and memorable day.
“Thank you very, very much for putting together such a brilliant day for us on Saturday! The feedback was unbelievably positive, and there's already a buzz at BCG about putting together another one. Everyone really enjoyed it, and we were impressed with how well you were able to keep things moving and lively.
Putting together a full day for 20 people clearly took a lot of effort, but it went down as one of BCG’s best ever bonding events, and I think we’ve inspired a few new polo players.”
Karen McCormick
The Boston Consulting Group
“As for organisations, polo success is based on two concepts: strategy (direction, foresight, planning etc) and implementation (leadership, control, speed, teamwork etc.). Polo forms part of our experiential team building for select clients going through significant organisational change such as mergers, acquisitions or restructuring.”
